Exmouth, our base for this section of the South West Coast Path, is Britain's oldest seaside resort and boasts Devon's longest promenade. It also has two miles of golden sand, which makes it the perfect for watersports such as kite surfing, wind surfing and paddleboarding. It is also the eastern gateway to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
Exmouth has an wide range of shops, restaurants, beach cafés and pubs serving food in the evening, and several shops where one can purchase the makings of a packed lunch.
The daily meeting point in Exmouth is on the Esplanade, beside the clock tower.

How to reach Exmouth by public transport; Exmouth has its own railway station which is on a branch line from Exeter. Exeter is on the main West Country line from London Paddington to Penzance.here
